About the Owners
Bill Murray opened Murray’s Hallmark at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, MA in 1958 – the same year the mall opened. Today, Murray’s is the only original retailer left. Murray’s began as a stationery and office supplies store, but ever evolving with the times, the Murray’s of today is a sophisticated card and gift shop.
In 1991, second-generation owners, Bill Murray (Jr.) and his wife Lynda, opened the first Ashley’s Hallmark in Plaistow, NH. And in 2000, they opened a second Ashley’s in Amesbury, MA.
Murray’s and Ashley’s Hallmark Gold Crown stores feature a diverse selection of merchandise. In addition to the complete line of Hallmark greeting cards, gift wrap, stationery, and other social expression products, the stores boast a unique array of gifts, home décor, fashion accessories, jewelry, gourmet foods and “so much more”!
